Glenwood Hot Springs is a natural wonder located in the heart of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Known as the world's largest hot springs pool, this historic landmark has been attracting visitors since its establishment in the late 19th century.

The hot springs are fed by a natural geothermal source that pumps over three million gallons of water a day. This provides a soothing and relaxing experience for anyone who takes a dip in its mineral-rich waters. Find out how you can relax to the max on your visit!

Where Is Glenwood Hot Springs?

Glenwood Hot Springs is located in Northwest Colorado, about a 3-hour drive from Denver. The Spring is famous for its geothermal amenities. It’s also known for outdoor adventures at the junction of the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers. 

The town’s rich in history so you’re never short on things to do! Activities such as Gold Medal fishing, hiking trails, snow sports, rafting, and endless other choices are abundant.

Glenwood Springs is the perfect holiday destination for everyone. The range of activities caters to all but is geared towards those in their twenties and thirties.

How Much Does It Cost?

There are 3 different hot spring locations within the Glenwood Hot Springs: Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. 

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

This Springs is situated along the Colorado River and has 16 smaller natural spring pools.

Making a reservation ahead of time is important since the tickets sell out fast! If you’re in need of extra rejuvenation, you have the option to book longer sessions as well. 

Each guest gets 1 rental towel included with their entry, and every towel after that is $2.50. Outside food & drink is prohibited, so plan to eat ahead of time or dine at The Sopris Cafe located on-site.

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is considered the largest mineral hot spring pool in the world. It’s also an award-winning spa of the Rockies featuring two enormous pools out in nature. 

Tickets for Glenwood Hot Springs Resort vary depending on the season. 

Price

High season: children (3-12) $25 | adults (13 & up) $39 

Low season: children (3-12) $20 | adults (13 & up) $29

9am-9pm daily

Spontaneous last minute-adventure? You’re in luck! This resort offers the convenience of online booking. Once you book, you can immediately enter the resort. Passes are also available at the pool entrance.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

Looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and thrill? Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is just the place! This park combines Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves featuring natural mineral baths. It’s also America's only mountain-top amusement park with amazing views and thrilling rides for adventurous tourists. 

Tickets for Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park vary depending on what package you choose.

How Do You Get To Glenwood Springs Hot Springs?

Driving

Glenwood Hot Springs is an easy drive from Denver, Aspen, Grand Junction, or Vail/Eagle Airports. Driving from Denver is a 160-mile scenic route that takes around 3 hours to complete. It’s 90 miles from Grand Junction, taking around 100 minutes to drive.

Taking the Bus

You can also get to Glenwood Springs by bus. There are many different companies operating to and from this destination, such as the world-famous Greyhound or Bustang which travel all across the US. Traveling by Rail

Fed up with taking buses or driving? Why not jump on board the Amtrak California Zephyr? Take the route from Chicago to San Francisco ending at, you guessed it, Glenwood Hot Springs. The train depot is located in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs. The depot is close to accommodation, dining facilities, and other attractions. 

Flying

Glenwood Springs is in range of 4 airports: located 30 miles, 40 miles, 90 miles, and finally, 180 miles away. So, getting there from anywhere in the world is as easy as booking connecting flights from across the US that will take you to one of the nearby airports.
